Panel urges S.F. to help teen immigrant felons

Quote:
A San Francisco city commission has taken a defiant stand against Mayor Gavin Newsom's directive on young immigrant felons by urging officials to permit the offenders to remain in the city and help pay for their housing, job placement services and immigration lawyers.
Is Gavin coming to his senses? In any case, how dare these city commissioners suggest the city should not only allow these felons to remain, but to then pay for their housing, job placement, and lawyers? How is it fair and just to force tax payers to pay for such things for people who are not even citizens, when even citizens would be lucky to get such benefits?! The mind boggles at the insanity of this. That city commission needs an overhaul and needs to be held accountable for their actions. And some people wonder why people are leaving California in droves. Where is the money supposed to come from that this 'immigrant rights commission' wants to spend? That state is a disaster of social spending and programs, and now they are reaping the results of such.

The article is slow to get to it, but they are talking about illegal immigrants here. Not immigrants in general, and of course they wouldn't put 'illegal' in the article title.

I know that SF has always been a little "loony" but what is in the water there? The SF city commission wants to pay for their housing, job placement and lawyers? Unbelieveable.

So this is after the murder of Anthony Bologna and his two sons? Is there an ounce of common sense there? I am being serious.
