"Everyone in the world would love to share in the American dream," said Hendrycks. "I oppose all forms of illegal immigration. There are legal immigrants who have busted their butts to come here."

Some who attended the meeting said they believe the meetings are too "one-sided."

"Everyone gets seemingly put in the same basket," said Austin resident Marv Repinksi. "We need to learn to live together because the issue won't go away. We need to find some even ground. A lot of people here seem to speak from anger and resentment."

Anna Caballero, who said she was born and raised in Austin, supports all forms of immigration because she believes everyone has right to work and support their families.

"There are people of all colors committing crimes," said Caballero. "Not everyone who comes here is bad."

Republican State Sen. Dick Day, who recently authored a plan to secure America's borders, has attended several of MCFIR's meetings in Austin because he said he supports the group's mission.

Anchor baby alert!!!! With every passing day, it becomes more than apparent that for these folks race trumps everything, including but not limited to the deliberately misinterpreted grace of the 14th amendment. This anchor baby's opinion is representative of the abuse of the 14th amendment and why it should be abolished post haste.

I couldn’t agree more! Personally, of all of the myriad illegal alien abuses, the 14th Amendment is the most infuriating. The idea of millions of interlopers with no respect for our country or our laws, deliberately giving birth for the sole purpose of abusing our tax-funded benefits, and lessening their chances of deportation, makes me see RED! The fact that this law was originally enacted to ensure citizenship for the offspring of freed slaves, only compounds my disgust.

You and me both. There are hundreds of them in every state, local and federal branch of our government. It's time for the PC gloves to come off and for the liberals to stop empowering them by electing them to office. They don't give a damn about America, for them its: Viva LaRaza and Viva Meheeco.

Some people just can't stand the fact that other Americans have different views about this issue.

There is a difference in condoning criminal activity because you share a race vs. having a different view about an issue.

It's these cultural differences and inadequacies that confirms another amnesty will bring America to it's knees.

Of course it is. It's all part of the plan, yet you have some who claim that a reconquista is not happening. With every day that we don't make our voices heard, the closer America is approaching the point of no return. It is important that we send out mass emails to everyone we know. There are far too many personally destracted Americans and going along as if nothing matters except their own personal well being. The survival of our country is in crisis mode.

I totally agree, as does most of my family. In fact, the crisis is so bad in LA these days that instead of waiting until December to get back home from here, I plan on trying to get back there in September and get my family moved out.

Can't say I blame you. Remember, if you have any questions about your relocation to Illinois, you can count on me to steer you away from the IA land mines.
