Yeah, one sure does not see him in these type of forums telling American citizens that he can do as he pleases because he is an illegal alien. Oh yeah, he went to DC to say that. My bad!!!

so you punish the child for the parents actions?

does that mean we should incarcerate children whose mothers are in chowchilla? send them to be with their criminal mothers in jail?
even though they have been law abiding citizens. even though they are honest hard working kids?

there is really no wining with some of you.

this is a succes story in many ways. its good to know that the govt has some sense. great story!
besides folks, the parents and grandparents are gone. its ok. we dont have to support them into old age now. and these guys will be hard working citizens of the US. their ties to COL are very limited. why would they go back? im sure they will stay and be wonderful assets to this great country. its a success.

o ya, GO HOYAS!!!

Damn. I could not afford to go to Georgetown. If only I had known that I could have immigrated to Mexico and then gotten myself an international scholarship. But no. I did it the hard way. Worked three jobs so I could get my undergrad degree. Do I ever feel stupid now.

Living in Columbia is the equivalant of a jail sentence? Let's not get too overly dramatic.

see this just leads me to belive you guys have a limited understanding of immigration.

once deported, getting back is pretty hard. and besides even if they were to be able to process immiigration papers to get back in, the process is very slow. takes about 10 years. if not longer. the parents and g-parents could be dead by then.

wow o wow

my analogy was questioning to what extent children should be punished for thier parents actions.

the children didnt choose to overstay their visa.
the children didnt choose to have a thief mom.

And this country didn't choose them to live here. See, that is what immigration is all about...a nations sovereign right to decide whom to let in.
