As you say below, and because our politicians want the voting base--to increase their seat numbers in Congress.

[quote=r601020;4967625]The Sheriff Joe Pinata lady?

She's in this documentary "Accept Us"

Pt1

YouTube - Accept Us part 1 of 2
Pt2

YouTube - Accept Us part 2 of 2

Pt2, girl being interviewed speaking in Spanish says, ". . and thanks to God, instead of turning myself into immigration authorities, I came to my church and my Pastor decided to declare the church a sancturary for me."

IMO : arrest any God and Pastor, Priest, Reverend, et.al., for aiding and abetting next time that happens, revoke the church's non-profit status with back taxes owed retroactively as any such business should properly be re-classified as a criminal organization. Should put an abrupt end to this absurdity.

If anyone has a problem with it, call me. I'm immune to pinata voodoo.

for kids in that video that have such stellar GPAs, they sure talk "ghetto" to me. if they were trying to make a favorable impression to the viewers, why didn't that girl sitting on the steps take off those sunglasses and sit like a proper lady? amen to removing the non-profit status of the churches that interfere with enactment of out country's laws.

Sounds like a prime example of separation of church & state

I once knew a Vietnamese family . . father was a police officer in South Vietnam during the war, taken to prison when we left. His back heavily scarred from canings, teeth knocked out, etc. Worked as a janitor here.

Knew another Vietnamese family, father was an airline pilot before the war, upper-middle class in Vietnam I guess, came over in the refugee boats, drank their own urine to survive at sea, started out as a janitor here.

I've known other Vietnamese, communists, organized crime, or they just plain hate America. In my hometown, when a single flag of Vietnam was run up at their community center . . a few other Vietnamese told them, "You can't do that."

The right thing to do isn't rocket science, eh?

Side note here: Vietnamese crime on Vietnamese was a huge problem------------in the last 10 years or so, it seems to have all but died out. Maybe because more and more of the above ethnicity are both US citizens and especially born here as well...........hence being acculturated and fighting back against the Viet gangs.
