On the Live News Show they also said two or three more employees have been charged but thier case has yet to go to court. ( I didn't see this in the online story)

it should always start with punishing the employer since they receive the greatest benefit and do the most damage to american workers. i would boycott shipley do-nuts (what a name) if they had one here.

Agreed. Probation is merely a slap on the wrist. They should be thrown in jail like other criminals. How many 'regular' citizens can commit a felony with impunity?

Buy Dunkin Donuts. They check the immigration status of all applicants. I'm a firm believer in doing business with those who are making a concerted effort to actually obey the law and hire only those legally able to work in the U.S.

The fine is a step in the right direction....but imho, a jail sentence (even if only served on weekends for six months) was needed.

How many americans and legal us residents would have liked those jobs (if, they were being paid a fair wage?)? A lot, damnit. And by circumventing the american worker and going strictly for the illegal, corps. like this are condemning more and more people to poverty.

Glad to know the creep got fined, but honestly . . . these businesses should be shut down and the owners should be fined so heavily they are bankrupted.

Until the penalties are so stiff as to put the very fear of God into these employers who hire illegals . . . nothing is gonna change. It is back to business in no time, as we have seen in our meat packing plants here in NC and SC.

And is there such a thing as a landscaping, gutter, or roofing company that hires American citizens any more?????

Close the businesses down! Or at least make the employers HURT badly enuff that they won't hire illegals again . . .
