Absolutely. Make the company also buy a one-way ticket home for all the illegals as well.

That idea has a lot of merit.

Precident :
"SCAAP – the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program – the federal government is supposed to reimburse the states for the incarceration costs for illegal immigrants."

See :
Programs: State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP)

It's not unreasonable for the Federal Government to forward their costs to the source in these types of cases, which is the employers hiring illegal aliens (as opposed to human trafickking, border arrests, miscellaneous, etc.). What's $1 million or $10 million to a Wal-Mart or McDonald's in these typical fines? It's a punitive drop in the bucket. But . . if in addition to these fines, they get an invoice from the Federal Government which acurately reflects the costs of incarceration and deportation of illegal aliens, that might be a wake up call of a substantially higher number.

I really don't know what the cost is to arrest, process, incarcerate, and then deport "1" illegal alien, but let's say it's $10,000USD. Especially, for the small to medium-sized companies, to see this as a potential impact on their financial statements, yeah . . the comptrollers out there are going to assess this risk of doing business, as not worth it.

Good math.

You might not have to introduce new law either, as it would be a justified addendum to funding this existing program.

Salute!

The money that was illegally earned by these criminal aliens, should go directly to the police memolial fund of the state that the illegal was caught working in.

again the focus should be on the company who increased its profit margin by lowering wages and hiring the illegals. this company basically gets to shaft people out of their pay check... and you guys have no problem with that because the people are illegal. the company continues to line its pocket$ and you guys buy into it. truly sad.

what should happen is that the money owed for time worked should be paid to the workers. and then the workers should be sent bills for any costs associated with the illegals dentention. or keep the wages and apply them to court costs, seeingthat a bill will most likely go unpaid.

either way i dont think the company should keep the workers money.

Regardless of their immigration status, I don't think it is ok for the employer to withhold payment of wages already earned for work that was already performed. Surely there is legislation stating as much.

------------

The co should do both pay owed wages and fines .

Problem with co not paying is now you have companies/employers who hire illegal's and when it's pay day call ICE .

If the illegals all have fake ss# now the co can say it's not their fault and pocket their salary and no fine due .

Now they get free labor .
These companies have been burning the candle at both ends for decades .

If up to me the politician's would pay their salary out of their own pocket for not closing the border but since it's not the co should pay it.

These companies are not victims .

Agreed, and the company should be fined 100 times the wages due!!!
