Legal or illegal immigrants, fiburgos?

The latter need to be tossed out along with ending the Anchor Baby exemption for new births.

I'm of Mexican heritage. I make my own Spaghetti sauce from scratch . As for the figures, they're compelling. But of course, no one can really track the number of illegal immigrants coming in.

The US population in 1900 was 76 million, meaning there were 10.33 million immigrants, none of whom could avail themselves of a liberal social welfare network that didn't exist at the time.

The US population in 2000 was 273 million, meaning there were 28.28 million immigrants, many of whom came here EXPRESSLY to avail themselves of a liberal social welfare network that is PAID FOR by the American taxpayer.

And think about this for a second, there were almost 3 times as many immigrants in 2000 as there were in 1900.

During the 1990s, the nation’s immigrant population grew by 11.3 million — faster than at any other time in our history. Using newly released data from the 2000 Census, this report examines the changing distribution of the nation’s immigrant population by country of origin at the state level. The findings show that in one sense, today’s immigration is more diverse than ever because people now arrive from every corner of the world. In another sense, however, diversity among the foreign born has actually declined significantly. One country — Mexico — and one region — Spanish-speaking Latin America — came to dominate U.S. immigration during the decade. The report also found that immigrants from some countries became more spread out in the 1990s, while the dispersion of others changed little.

The point is illegal is illegal like so many have pointed out here.Let's not hide the italians or irish in the shed
when immigration knocks on the door and push the mexicans out the front door. This is immigration people not a race forum like so many are thinking here.Illegal is illegal and that's what should be discussed. If there we're 10 million italians in 1920 and 300 million mexicans now it don't matter the italians are illegal as well.So let's discuss immigration not mexicans!Maybe we should ask to change this forum to mexicans.

If illegal immigration was really about immigration and our laws, we would not be talking about peoples culture and background. But I realize now, no, its more than just illegal immigration. People say "well they're the majority", and so what? Most of the people who recieve welfare in the U.S are white. But peoples ethnicity has to do with recieving welfare!! See the logic?!

I'm starting to miss Jdubsmom and Benicar already, where have they gone?!
