1. They are talking about a fence.. probably take a long time
to get that going but what do you think of the idea.
Do you think it would help alot or a little.

They really do need to do something about this. I think if we were able to prevent them from getting in here, it would not be like it is now. It has to been soon. It's only going to get worse.

2. Everyone is mad about the free care they get. Of course
the United States will always provide that so ... what if they
passed a bill that once the baby was born, since the Mother
is not a Citizen ... then neither is the baby. And after medical
care both were transported back to Mexico. Would that
seem fair to you?

I'm not sure about everyone being "mad". I think it's sad that American Citizens have to take a backseat to these people - Not every American Citizen can afford health insurance. The problem I have with your idea, which isn't bad,- someone is going to have to flip for the unpaid medical bills, so with that said, it will be past back to the Taxpayers, no?

3. How about more government officials checking for papers.
If a business is caught without... heavy fines would be
paid and after so many times... businesses shut down.

Yes, Yes, I so do agree with this.

4. I forgot food stamps.. how about if you aren't a citizen you can't
get them... after all.. don't soup kitchens pretty much feed everyone.
And if they are really in dire need, then they could turn themselves in
but after getting fed well etc.. back to Mexico.

I just don't see this happening, nor working.......My opinion of course.

5. Also.... what about random checks for id and papers... for anyone.
I mean ...no one wants to turn into cold war Russia but still... if you
are in the U.S. No one should mind. I know lot's of people would protest
that..profiling etc but I'm really trying to come up with some ideas.

I'll get back to you on this one

I still feel compassion for the illegals... that will not change. But I'm also not
pro illegal. I know something needs to be done.

Hey, you got your own opinion as everyone else does. The thing with some of your posts you generically call out White People as being the main problem, or farmers. Doesn't anyone put blame on the Gov't as well? There are many Mexican Citizens who hire illegals as well. It's just not white folks. I feel for lots of folks - but when is enough, enough? We can't feed, house everyone who just wants to come here and take advantage of this great Country......

You are right... it is the Governments fault as well as whoever
is hiring them. It's just been my experiance it's usually "well
to do white guys" ... but yeah, I'm sure there are lot's of other
races hiring them too. It is enough... I agree. American's are
struggling, even though in many ways most American's have it
easier in a lot of ways than any other generation. In other
ways it's worse. Our generation will be very lucky to have
a home paid for in full sometime in their lives... American's savings
are at an all time low...it hasn't been this low since the depression.
Housing costs are skyrocketing, and Health insurance is
absolutly ridiculous. Everything from a tank of gas to
home is going up, up and up all the while wages are
not keeping up Yes, I agree. But geez....
if the Government isn't or can't figure it out ... then
there is no hope for the problem. And in the end I still feel
I would be doing the same... I would definitly cross a border if
I were living in poverty and knew I could make more money for
my family. So how can I be a hypocrite and look down upon others
who are in that very position.

Illegal Immigrants are illegal and have broken the law, but should be treated like any other American, including paying taxes and healthcare bills, as well as be hired for decent wages. They should respect our laws and be respectful of the citizens, as well as us being respectful of them. Final Word on Illegal Immigration! I am out on all immigration debates!!!

Not worded properly, dusesean1986. They are not Americans. I think you meant you feel they should be treated "like Americans." I'm sorry, but I disagree.

Well, there will only be baby steps to this problem. You would agree
with that right?

I forgot to mention my mother in law that works in a school cafeteria.
She basically works for insurance for her and her husband, she makes $7 per hr and they hold back part of her pay for the summer months she is off.
After deductions she brings home a whopping $93 every two weeks.

Well, maybe we should all be protesting better health care
coverage for affordable prices. That's something every American
can get behind!

1. I don't think a fence will really do all that much in slowing the traffic down, unless there's enough Agents/ National Guard patroling it with authority to use what ever force is necessary. They can't fence all 2000 miles of it anyway. Border Patrol stations would have to be built X number of miles apart with night vision cameras and Air Craft with night vision, ground sensors and enough man power... it would take a great deal of money to seal the border.

2. All the free care they get is costing us $billions a year, and yet we have our own who need help but can't get any. As for the "anchor baby" solution, if the parents are not legal citizens then the child is not legal either. After mother and child are able to travel... deport them back where they came from. Birth for illegals alone are in the $billions a year.

3.Our government should be checking more closely on business owners they suspect of hiring illegals, and they know what type of business is most likely hiring illegals. If caught working illegals the penalty should be severe, let business owners know we will not tolerate this.

4. People in this country illegal should not have access to any public assistance programs, those were creatated for american citizens... even though some abuse the system.

5. I don't think our government, police depts. etc should be allowed to run wild with profiling, but I feel in certain cases they should have the authority in checking citizenship papers and a finger print check when necessary. As we all know a lot of citizenship papers are forgeries.

6. Something you didn't mention is free education, I could really get on a roll about this.

I'd rather think of strawberries. Gross to the meat

eating red meat. I just can't help myself sometimes
order a burger or something. I'm sure if I were to
see inside it would be vegetarian time for me.

I hauled meat from meat packing plants in Nebraska, Texas, Colorado, Kansas and I could tell you some stories, you would never eat beef or pork again...not to mention the chicken plants my trucks hauled from.
