The article at first glance is focused on the issue of the impact of immigration on population numbers:

Quote: …projections show that the U.S. population will grow by 135 million in just 42 years — a 44 percent increase. Such growth would have profound implications for our environment and quality of life. Most of the increase would be a direct result of one federal policy — immigration. If we reduced the level of immigration, the projections would be much lower. The question we have to ask ourselves is: Do we want to be a much more densely settled country?

But, stealthily, it gets round to the key economic issue:

Quote: While immigration does significantly increase economic activity in the receiving society, almost all of that increased activity go to the immigrants themselves in the form of wages and benefits. The gain to natives is tiny…

Moreover, this tiny economic benefit was entirely erased by the fiscal drain immigrant households imposed on taxpayers. Perhaps worst of all, the researchers found that to generate this small gain, immigration reduced the wages of the least educated and poorest American workers.

When will the Pro- Immigration fanatics at The Wall Street Journal show similar fairness?

What do you know? A reporter has finally figured out what we have been saying for years. Illegal immigration is a great deal- if you are an illegal alien, that is. However, if you are a US citizen or legal resident, it is nothing but a dead weight hanging around your neck because you will be footing the bills for them forever.

ITA. It will be interesting to see how many amnesties we will have to fend off after the election. The two front knuckle draggers have pretty much convinced me that voting for either of them is a lose, lose situation for America.

You are brutal!

(although looking at Palin, I am becoming more and more nervous with that Hooptie one heartbeat from the White House if McCain wins. )

Perhaps they are finally reading the comments being left after every article pertaining to illegal immigration. No other articles elicit such negative comments. People are simply fed up, and they aren’t biting their tongues.

I would spell it out but may run into a ToS violation despite my being 'White' as well.
