We favor a moratorium on immigration to these United States, except in extreme hardship cases or in other individual special circumstances, until the availability of all federal subsidies and assistance be discontinued, and proper security procedures have been instituted to protect against terrorist infiltration.
We also insist that every individual group and/or private agency which requests the admission of an immigrant to the U.S, on whatever basis, be required to commit legally to provide housing and sustenance for such immigrants, bear full responsibility for the economic independence of the immigrants, and post appropriate bonds to seal such covenants.
The Constitution Party demands that the federal government restore immigration policies based on the practice that potential immigrants will be disqualified from admission to the U.S. if, on the grounds of health, criminality, morals, or financial dependence, they would impose an improper burden on these United States, any state, or any citizen of these United States.

Sad really, how squashed the Independent political parties are from media attention. I've heard some of Bob Barr blasting the "lack of policy" regarding immigration, don't know much about Chuck Baldwin (except he does use the correct legal definition "illegal aliens"). Would've liked to have seen Ron Paul run an as Independent.
Status of McCain (Republican Party) and Obama (Democratic Party) failing to meet the August 26th deadline in Texas to place a presidential candidate on the ballot box . . another case of "the law", and "above the law". Have they even filed yet?

Nothing personal, but Republicans and Democrats should be removed from the presidential election in Texas.
If more people voted their conscious instead of being loyalists to thier party (which is exactly what the Democrat and Republican Party promote), an independent cound landslide this election.
So do I. It's a disgrace how people go blindly to the polls and vote for a candidate based on everything BUT the issues and the residual effects their choice will have on this country.
The Presidential election is just like everything else in our society - a huge marketing campaign that is driven by money. We're a nation of consumers with habits heavily swayed by marketing. It's a product of our own design. I don't see there ever being a candidate who is the best person for the job actually being elected any time soon. They'd have to be in one of the two parties to even be considered, and that means they'd be serving their party's interests, not that of the entire nation. And even then, it comes down to their "marketability", not their actual "ability". It will always be a matter of choosing the "lesser of two evils" at that point in time.
Things would have to change drastically. But being the capitalistic society we are, we would never limit how much money could be made or spent on campaigning. It goes against everything we stand for. And campaign ads will always twist the facts, making it difficult to really know what the real truth is about each candidate.
We will continue to elect Presidents whose team did the best job in the marketing war.

The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan:
Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.
