I didn't realize telling someone to 'shut up about it' was an insult. It might be considered 'rude', the same as constantly repeating oneself ad nauseum is rude, but it certainly ISN'T an insult.
As for protesting at State Capitols, I've been there and done that in more than one state, and I've got my picture in the paper to prove it.
