Illegal immigrant saves orphan lost in desert

Quote:
Quote:
An illegal immigrant rescued a 9-year-old orphan he found wandering alone in the desert Thursday evening, Santa Cruz Sheriff Anthony Estrada said.
Jesus Manuel Cordova, 21, of Magdalena de Kino, Son., was then turned over to the Border Patrol, Estrada said.
A few hours before the two met, Cordova had seen a green sport utility vehicle driving through the desert, Estrada said. Then he saw the wreckage and found the boy, wandering distraught and disoriented.
The two tried to free the boy's 45-year-old mother, who had been pinned in the SUV when it plummeted 300 feet into a canyon, Estrada said. But they couldn't disentangle her, and she died on the scene.

Yes, and as I recall, there was a not-so-nice aspect of this story as well. I donít think Californio would be too happy with the total story.

Awe, don't burst his bubble, he had to search far, wide and dig deep for that "feel good" sympathy getter as it is.

As I said back when this story first appeared, ANY illegal immigrant who rescues a wandering infant in the desert should instantly be rewarded with the "key to the city" and full citizenship. The REST of them, however, should go home, because they're still trespassers.

How many people would this involve....oh, I don't know. Maybe one a year?

Agreed. Actually, I wouldn't be too quick to assume that this "savior" didn't make it across our border on his second try.

That is a fair request. I am interested as well although for different reasons no doubt.
