Determined people can dig or climb.

Our government cannot support our citizens AND those of another countries as well. Until living conditions are made better for Mexican citizens in their home country, they will still try to come here. What plentiful resourses do they have there? Our government needs to work WITH theirs to solve this problem.
Sigh, same tired old argument. How do you tell the family of any criminal that they will be seperated due to the consequences of a family members crimes?
Mexico is a wealthy nation by any measure. Mexico needs to change and its people needs to be the author of said change. Have we learned nothing from Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan? We can not make them change. It must come from within.
We can and must control our immigration. We must penalize those who break the law not reward them. Amnesty just doesn't work.
Its not that Mexicans are unwelcome here. Its illegals of any nationality are unwelcome and should be deported each and every time they are caught.

As I stated earlier, America cant support both countries. We need to negotiate (not finance) their government into providing better conditions there.

It might be that more prisons that will need to be built for our Psychotic
Americans. It is amazing that no one on the forum wants to work towards a solution, just hate.

What 'solution' do you propose that we works towards, sassy?

Holding criminals is accountable is about hate?
Protecting our borders, our citizens is about hate?
Expecting Mexicans to respect our international rights is about hate?
I must have a different definition of hate.

Sorry you're so tired (past your bedtime?). Maybe you should take a nap?
America IS deporting illegals as best as we can--there are just so many of them. And they don't exactly wear signs around their necks. How would we keep the family members seperated along this wall? Machine guns? Guard dogs? Barbed wire? You want to live in a prison state??

Remember your history: the "white man" came to this country and within about a 100 years (a blink in history) we quickly became the predominant society. We just kept coming, and coming, AND COMING. The poor indians were driven from their own lands to reservations (land the settlers didn't want). In this scenerio, we are the indians.

We need to negotiate with their government to utilize these "vast resourses" you allude to to create good jobs for their people.

Hmm, if I remember history correctly, the 'indians' tried to negotiate with the white mans government and lost! Could be we try to negotiate with the Mexican government and lose. Something to think about.

And what was NAFTA all about???? Helping Americans stay employeed?
NO It was to help Mexico who promptly exported most the gift to China.
What do the Indians have to do with Illegals from Mexico?
A secure border hardly equates to a prison state. Visit a real prison state and maybe you will have a clue. I have been to a few, have you?
As for the family equasion. If an american citizen hooks up with an illegal thats on them. Not the rest of us. Just like if someone hooks up with a known criminal. Illegals are criminals.
Catching them isn't as important as eliminating their opprotunities to exploit us. Go after the the employers and landlords. Its working they are leaving on their own.
Remove the insentives. Seize their assets call it back taxes.
Yes I agree the children are victims in this. Not my fault and not yours. But just as with the child of a convicted criminal that should not negate the consequences for criminal behavior. It sucks that these children have criminal parents but we didn't force them to become criminals. They did that all by themselves.
Why must we always treat illegals better than any other country? Why must we always be forced to grant amnesty programs which only fuel the problem anyway?
We can dump money into Mexico and it will buy us what it has in the past. Nothing.

That race card does not work: the Euro Whites (both Anglo and Hispanic) were simply a group of bigger and badder 'Indians' who subjugated the indigenous peoples. Besides: the Aztecs did their share of atrocities----------cutting the still beating human hearts out of their prisoners certainly qualified.

By the standards of 1492: such behavior was quite acceptable on both sides.

Let what happened to the Navajo, Aztec's etc. serve as a warning that the USA must remain strong or we will be the next 'Indians'.

If it means the destruction/subjugation of Mexico by the USA----------so be it.
