lets go deeper and find out if this is true and if so, why, who stands to gain the most from doing this?

also, someone has got to make both candidates for president stand up and tell us what they plan to do about illegal immagration.

This is nuts, this henous sense of entitlement, and breaking the laws, breaking down our system...

The bill is not (yet) up for voting? Do you think the "common man", who both the parties so dearly care for, can get this reversed - say by a Presidential veto? Interesting to note how immigration is no longer in the frontburner of political debate now but lipstick is.

Here is the press release:

Vote on Foreign-Worker Bills Postponed Amid Growing Opposition
Updated Thursday, September 11, 2008, 10:00 AM

The House Judiciary Committee yesterday postponed consideration of bills containing massive foreign worker increases (H.R. 5882 and H.R. 5924) after debate stalled during discussions on the armed forces amnesty bill (H.R. 6020). The committee could resume consideration of the bills at its next scheduled meeting on September 16.

Again if you are concerned-the HR numbers are above-call now, write now and fax now. The more they hear from us now and when they go to act-the better chance we have in defeating this.

Indeed, it is an insult to the American public....somebody better do something about illegal immigration, as it is draining our country...I heard the numbers are now, 900,000 illegals. And then they try and tell us we're safer then before 911.

what bothers me is, Bush kept claiming we were fighting terrorists...and I thought, really thought after 9 11 this country would honor those who lost their lives and things would drastically change. They never, ever secured out boarders and Homeland Security? What a joke? My goodness, we let anyone in the country...

This to me, is simply henous...can someone please explain to me, what is happening here?
Every American should demand that illegal immigration be stopped, immediately, and our boarders shurred up, and a system put into place that monitors illegals in this country, until they become citizens. And that means, learning English.

I am for needs-based legal immigration too - but not when the times are bad.
