What if Latino illegals were given affirmative action? (by Hillary or Obama in the future)

Would it seem worse than the current invasion, because they could enter higher offices? Spanish-speaking illegals sitting behind desks, playing CEO, and whistling at the "hot ladies" in the office of course..
(gosh, that might be a disaster*)

I believe I remember reading on Obama's website that he is against illegal immigration, and that he has voted against his own party in the U.S. Senate to this end. Possibly because his father is a LEGAL immigrant, the man has a wisdom on this matter that many posters here whose lives have never been touched personally by the difference between legal (rah! yay!) immigrants and illegal ("we want all of your tax dollars instead of spending it on your own needy citizens," [except in Spanish]) immigrants.

You might want to think up another analogy, since the most likely test case for your even higher office seeker would be our own Governor Schwarzenegger. But then again, he's known for whistling at the hot ladies who aren't his wife too!

This is a pithy subject to be sure, but there is a very serious undercurrent here I'd like to point out to the rest of the posters here that live in very homogenous communities in the U.S. Many people who were born to and of foreign cultures, however intelligent, useful, generous and successful they may become in the U.S. as naturalized citizens and wonderful people overall, might hold prejudices that the majority of Americans do not. I believe that someone who holds a prejudice such as misogyny, imprinted as a societal "norm" since childhood in a foreign patriarchal country, is not fit to be a leader of the American public, any more than those with homegrown prejudices.

Can one overcome this? Yes, but they have to be extremely vocal and upfront about it, and follow up on this to the letter of the U.S. law. I can remember Catholic office-holders making a point to say that although some such law was against their personal creed, they were elected to represent ALL the people, and would do so, and follow or edjudicate the law as they were expected to by selfsame law. California's former Governor Jerry Brown (seminary school grad) did this, as did President Kennedy. Then again, these were outsider American-born citizens, not people who grew up thinking that women didn't count as people in the eyes of the law of their "home country.".

Not sure where you’ve been, but they have enjoyed the benefits of affirmative action since the beginning. All large company HR departments have been hiring based on race for as long as I have been employed. They have to have a certain percentage of, white, black, latino, asian, etc. if not they have to prove that they actively tried to hire these people.

There are some departments in corporations, particularly those involved in computer sofware engineering, that are staffed exclusively by one non-White race, such as Indians or Chinese. There never seems to ever be any charges by the government of unfair labor practices. That only applies to employing too many Whites.

“That only applies to employing too many Whites”, Absolutely 100% correct.
