One anonymous person mentioned they make $70,000 a year, and they do have four kids, but that's definently livable regardless of where you live, ecspecially if you don't live in California or the Northeast. Can someone clarify this for me?!

It can be liveable - depends on where you live, I suppose. You have to factor in other things, such as health insurance - house payments, car insurance(s) Kids outgrow clothes fast, and it does become very expensive. Diapers, formula, very expensive. SAVING UP FOR COLLEGE EDUCATION(s) You know things that most Citizens pay for out of pocket......
Nea - you shouldn't have to prove a point with your salary. It's none of anyones business. This has nothing to do with Illegals anyway. He's just nitpicking........

You are right, I deleted it, none of his business, if he cant figure things out on his own, too bad. He lives in la la land. We live on it, but no money after taxes for Retirement, college or health insurance, two of my kids and me as well have eye issues. One had to have braces, on and on.. We are moving soon for a better job. I like AZ but there is just to much crap here.

Really. First off, I'd like to say I'm sorry for you folks. Are you fighting for jobs with illegal immigrants?! You mean they apply at the Office you work at, like 20 of them in the parking lot waiting for your boss to arrive just like Home Depot. Be more specific about your problem, and I'll understand what your talking about.
I'm sorry it's tough on you, but I think some people could care less. I think spending three minutes out of my daily life to help an individual who doesn't speak English with my order is not to strenous.

dusesean, no one is going to take you seriously until you get a "REAL" job that requires "HARD" work!

I think it can be simply broken down, do they make that much but live below, at, or above their means? I've known people who take home over $40k a year but love having toys, taking trips, having nice cars, and go into debt with no savings. I know people who take about the same amount home but dont care much about all the fancy toys, "do I really need to buy the 42 inch plasma if my other TV isnt broken?", who dont feel the need to spend money to do everything to "live every moment to the fullest" and they manage to save a lot. So it's possible, even in SoCal, just depends on where and how you plan to be.

We have no toys no vacation, 200.00 a month in back medical since we cant get health insurance have to pay our debts out of our own pockets, do not bring home $70000, there is a thing called taxes!! What we have is 3 kids at home that need shoes, clothes, glasses, braces, food. Do you know we pay $270 a month for two cars for car insurance here? Gas for two cars, school supplies, mortgage, electic, water, maintence on home, on and on. yea some have it good, while others are just getting by.

You say some care less that it's tough on me? Well, Like the illegals, why should I care about them? I'm trying to provide my family with a good life, as you claim they're trying to do, why don't you care about the people who' are legal citizens?

Having problems with fast food orders is not limited to those placing the orders with non-English speaking service people. Come on! It happens with the anglo, third gen American teen who won't take the cell phone from their ear to touch the screen on the cash register/order taking machine. It happens with the high school drop out US twenty-something that has had every opportunity at education. Those are the people competing for jobs like that. Order by number and you won't have so many problems. And if those are your biggest problems, how lucky you are.
And you ask "why should I care about about them"? Shame on you. Part of providing for your family should be setting a good example that we are here for eachother- not teaching hate by example. You are doing a disservice to your children.
