You should check out the LA forum for Kingofthehill's photo threads. I love his/her photography, it does a lot to capture the diversity that I love, in the "cesspool"(according to some of you) that is LA.
Personally, I love Little Ethopia. I have many fond memories of it from when I lived in L.A. and the food is to die for.
How about "diversity lite"? Bring on the food, the music, the color, and the festivities. Leave out the female genital mutilation, and we just MAY have a nice addition to the local scene.
However, as you say, this has NO bearing on illegal immigration, one way or another.

Are you getting it now? It isn't about Immigrants. The anger is about Illegal Immigrants.

Immigration has added a lot to the american culture. Enchiladas, kolaches, *** chae, sushi, schnitzel --- all things I love and all things brought with immigrants.
For me, and for most others it is all about the legality of said immigrants, and how much more america can absorb.

I'm aware of that. I'm wondering why there can't be a single thread that is positive about immigrants w/out one of you calling it out & turning it around into a negative. It's ridiculous.
