Hey guys. I have to do a project for my government class showing two organizations with opposing views on immigration and comment on their views. I already know several of the leading organizations against increased immigartion, and as you are aware am part of them, but have to admit other than apparently the US government and Nancy Pelosi I don't know any actual pro-immigration organizations that are respectable and legit. Anyone know who might be the leading organization so I can finish my research?
Thanks!

I agree. Without such a definition, any further discussion is pretty much pointless. Today, we can't even get a consensus on the "respectability" of American laws, or citizenship, or whether or not the status of an illegal alien is a "respectable" one. Good luck on defining a "respectable" group....

What I meant be respectable was a group of US citizen's who had the same esteem on the pro side as NumbersUSA, etc who were fighting on the side of increased immigration. Is La Raza all there is? There must be some others? I guess I can look it up on the web, but thought you guys might know it off the top of your head.

You've got the ACLU, NCLR, MALDEF, LULAC, ACORN and the Socialist Workers Party for starters. They are ALL for open borders and massive immigration.

Good list of organizations. Might I suggest adding the 'Consulado de Mexico (Mexican Consulate)?. It's a pretty big organization, has an large budget, and thousands of staffers at dozens of locations throughout the United States, and a very DEFINITE 'open borders' agenda. Seems as respectable an organization as most....right?

Make sure you include the impacts Illegal Immigrants have on the tax paying citizens. Or are you writing a one sided paper?

Right.

If an organization is advocating criminal activity, are they legitimate? The answer is "no". Therefore, there are no ligitimate organizations in favor of illegal aliens.

I meant no offense to the user, just pointing out the problem as it was asked.
