The global population is skyrocketing and depending more and more on the United States to help provide a stable source of food as it has done for over one-hundred years. However, due to America's increasing population (due in large part to out-of-control immigration), the United States is unable to fulfill this role. In fact, the United States is losing more than 1 MILLION acres of arable land per year due to immigration-driven population growth.
I've been saying this all along. The US has been the bread basket for a lot of the World. We were feeding all of those mouths "over there" and we at least obtained compensation for it. Now we are feeding those same mouths "over here" for free!
I love the fact that when articles like this, which so obviously show the downside of population overload are posted, none of the illegal alien apologists have anything to say. Simply post ecological fact or show the true face of poverty in the U.S. and the thread accumulates spiderwebs. Guess it's difficult to post the typical racist accusations to these sort of posts.

ITA with both of you. It is indeed the reality that we have all espoused with regards to the poverty stricken who have invaded America and their culturally embedded, over zealous birth rates and perpetual crime sprees. It's not just food and space, they are also draining every other resource, including our financial ones.
If only Duncan Hunter or Ron Paul had won the Republican nomination (or even Tancredo were nominated as a VP) we'd be on our way to recovery as a nation after this election.
Unfortunately, the two we are stuck with leave me little to no hope for anything other than 4 more years of infighting and little to no productivity.
