The Japanese did this with Brazilians of Japanese descent and it did work.

Proof you can't have an open border when the Country is next to a developing Country or a Country with a divide of wealth created by it's own Govt.

The problem with Mexico is really that it doesn't offer the food stamps, free housing, WIC and completely free health care to it's people that we give them.

In Mexico if someone has some ambition and responsibility -- finishes his or her education, obtains some job skills, delays the start of a family until that and marriage, that individual has a very good chance of becoming part of Mexico's growing middle class.

We're not getting many of those educated and responsible types, we're getting those who start having children when they cannot afford them and go on having more. We're getting the ones who didn't choose to stay in school and learn skills.

Drop out of 3rd grade, start having children at age 13 and if you stay in Mexico it's going to be a life of hard work, come to the USA and you'll have it made.
