Didn't we all know this would happen? Maybe now Texas will get on the bandwagon and pass some laws and push them out of their state. Hell, send them all to Sassy since she loves them. People like her can house and feed them since they love them so much. Hopefully this will make each state they run to to start passing laws and getting rid of them too. On and on until all 50 have made it clear that they are not wanted.

Violent crimes surge after illegals invade Texas

While illegal aliens flee strict immigration enforcement policies in several states and settle in Texas, the state's budget is suffering and violent crime, soaring.
News reports indicate a flood of illegal aliens is coming from states such as Arizona and Oklahoma where immigration crackdowns have made life more difficult for them. In the meantime, Texas' violent crime rates have taken a turn for the worse.

WND researched FBI crime statistics from years 2006 to 2007 for 29 of Texas' largest cities with populations of more than 100,000. The Preliminary Annual Uniform Crime Report reveals two of the state's well-known sanctuary cities with "don't-ask-don't-tell" policies, Houston and Austin, have surging violent crime rates. Houston experienced an additional 314 violent crimes in 2007 compared with 2006 figures. Austin had 213 more violent crimes reported to law enforcement than the previous year.

According to the stats, overall, the 29 most populous Texas cities had 1,083 more violent crimes committed in 2007 than in 2006. While arrest records usually do not indicate suspect citizenship status, the crime trend matches a migration wave of illegal aliens coming from locations such as Arizona and Oklahoma states with strict immigration enforcement policies and declining violent crime rates.

There are no Federal Statistics kept on crimes committed by illegal aliens. I wonder why.

Although there's no correlation between crime and illegal aliens it should be noted, Texas is ranked #12 in violent crime, and it just so happens (per Center for Immigration Studies) they have 1.7 million illegal aliens.

Data from : Study of States with highest violent crime
Data from : Study of States with highest quantity of illegal aliens

There's no correlation?

Violent crime ranking / State / States with highest quantity of illegal aliens

2 Florida 1,012,000
3 Maryland 268,000
8 Nevada 160,000
10 California 2,840,000
11 Illinois 480,000
12 Texas 1,702,000
13 Arizona 579,000
18 Massachusetts 220,000
19 Georgia 504,000
20 North Carolina 363,000

IMO : Some states (i.e., New York) are under-reporting their quantity of illegal aliens.

Then why is the crime rate of cities like Los Angeles lower than other major cities? Isnt LA groundzero for illegals?
Same for San Diego.

Violent crime in Texas? Big surprise. The southern cities are consistently high in crime.

Houston and Austin are two of the fastest growing cities in the country, so its not bizarre that crime would also climb. An influx of people from around the country, legal and illegal, would no doubt result in such a trend.

Linking the rise in crime to illegal immigration is not a very solid argument (though higher crime rates likely do occur among illegal immigrants) , but then I see your source is WorldNetDaily, and I am not surprised at all you would quote such drivel.

The top 25 most dangerous cities in America (according to Infoplease.com)

Safest and Most Dangerous U.S. Cities, 2007; Infoplease.com

1. Detroit, MI
2. St. Louis, MO
3. Flint, MI
4. Oakland, CA
5. Camden, NJ
6. Birmingham, AL
7. North Charleston, SC
8. Memphis, TN
9. Richmond, CA
10. Cleveland, OH
11. Orlando, FL
12. Baltimore, MD
13. Little Rock, AR
14. Compton, CA
15. Youngstown, OH
16. Cincinnati, OH
17. Gary, IN
18. Kansas City, MO
19. Dayton, OH
20. Newark, NJ
21 Philadelphia, PA
22. Atlanta, GA
23. Jackson, MO
24. Buffalo, NY
25. Kansas City, KS

Contrary to popular belief, the south is not full of rampaging rednecks with shotguns. As said Reese Witherspoon's character in the movie Sweet Home Alabama said, "Just because I talk slow, doesn't mean I think slow."

I would say that the ratio of violent crime in the U.S. is pretty evenly split between southern cities and northern cities. More than half of the cities on this list are in what is commonly thought of as the northern or western parts of the U.S.

Aside from Compton and possibly Oakland/Richmond, all the other cities on that list are not known to have huge Latino populations(i.e. places Hispanic illegals move into).

Central Florida's Hispanic population from 2000 to 2004 went from 20% to 30% per census, and who knows what it's really at? Illegal aliens are like cockroaches, there's never just one. So if the census says 30%, then 35% would be a rough estimate closer to being accurate . . it was a huge population spike! I'm from there. I left there.

Yes, there was always crime, but what the Hispanics brought with them was a whole new and different truckload. When I left, they were bringing in FBI teams to help with the organized crime.

Kele's list says Orlando is #11 in the most dangerous, Anonymous's list had Florida at #2 for violent crime, the other list has Florida just behind California and Texas in the highest quantity of illegal aliens, and people like you spew this bunk there is no correlation between illegal aliens and crime?

BTW : and this conversation is only about violent crime, not "all" crime. If the Federal Government did keep statistics of crime committed by illegal aliens, it would be off the chart.

Welcome to my ignore list, reason : quagmire of nonsense.

AZ saw a reduction in violent crime by 700 + and Texas was up 1,000. I guess we know which direction they headed.
