Well actually that did occur............in 1848 when we seized Mexico city and the US Army raised the flag of liberation (stars and stripes) Over the Mexican capitol
there actually is a good piece of art work that commemorates that event...
Despite my being firmly secular and not 'Christian': I have little or no issue with a Nativity scene around Yule/Christmas/Winter Solstice vs. flying another nation's flag under the circumstances at hand.
Are you serious? I would never have thought that, learn something new every day
I don't have a problem with it, if I'm going to get upset it would be more than the waving of the Mexican flag in honor of Mexican Independence Day.
I am sick of seeing the damn Mexican flag flown anywhere in this country and I am of Mexican descent. All it means to me is how badly my family is and was being treated by that country's top brass. People like you, Sassy, have no real idea what Mexico is all about and what the LEGAL immigrants do to get to our country and then you have the nerve to think illegals are just ok and not hurting anyone. They are like a slap in the face of my parents and others who came here legally and worked hard to learn the language and become true Americans. The Mexican flag is never flown by any of my family. We only fly the American flag.

Is it possible that your family had more money than the ones that are try to cross today? I do feel sorry for these people, and hope they end up getting a life that treats them fairly.
Like APJ I only fly the US flag. Really, I wouldn't have an issue seeing the Mexican flag flown on rare occsions (just as I've seen flags from many other nations flown on US soil occasionally); but when I'm seeing everyday it on cars and office buildings in my town I begin to get a little disturbed. If someone living in the USA from another country is willing to take employment, heathcare, and (or) government services but isn't willing to pledge alleigence to the US first and foremost, they need to return to the country they truely love.

Excellent point: to the best of my knowledge; I have never flown the Hungarian flag (father is from that country)------------hell, I hardly know what it looks like.

Thanks Bear. As a born Russian who had to earn his right to be a US citizen (during my childhood thankfully) I find it sickening that there seem to be so many people in the US that don't seem to want to be here for any other reason than to collect sympathy and handouts. There are thousands in eastern Europe that'd give up everything they have to have a chance to live in the USA, yet our leaders pander to a group of illegals that want everything WE have in return for being our uninvited guests!

Anymore: quite a few of the Eastern Euros do have access to the EU.........which is as good as the USA when it comes to living well
Russia along with Belarus and Ukraine are not on that list admittedly but the Baltics, Hungary, etc. do have the keys to the 'candy store'.
It not just Mexican flags they're flying in their war against America, they fly this flag too . . look again at pictures of immigration marches. And this time, open your eyes.
