Did all those soldiers fight and die just so someday their country would be invaded by Third World colonists and their grandchildren and great grandchildren would live in a country where foreigners tell them how its going to be?
Would they have fought and died for a country whose government the last forty years has had no respect or regard for their culture, their traditions, their heritage and their shared historical national identity and for a government that has sold them out?
I have the highest respect for the soldiers who have fought and died in the wars that America has fought. If only the U. S. government had shown these men as much respect. Instead the government’s treasonous actions insult the memories of our brave soldiers.
They certainly would have still fought and died for our country, but they would have probably considered the vast uncheck invasion of the United States as an act of war.
I would like to point out there were a lot of first generation Italians, Mexicans and a lot of native Americans who fought and died in the war.
Cecil Rameriz was the father to my good friend Ben. He was on the beach at Normandy with my dad.
And what was the race of the marine who raised the flag at Iwo.......... That being said, I think most of them would not like the current situation.
Two weeks ago I had the honor and privilege too welcome to my home town the reunion of the 6th Marine Division, the hero's of Okinawa and I met men, old stooped and shuffling men, with names like
Farzella, and Rodriquez, Smith and Yokum, Italians, Mexicans, English and African.........and it was such an honor to see these 80 year old men stand a little taller, some to straighten their backs and to see the tears of appreciation they had that a town would remember their sacrifice so long ago. We gave them the key to the city
