It happens when you immigrate here from the Mexico slums. It's not everywhere, but it's in a lot of areas.

I have looked long and hard,..and have found La Puente, CA to one of the "wealthiest places for Hispanics in the U.S." Median income for household? $41k. 83% Hispanic. La Puente HS-[Greatschools.net rating(3 of 10)]...50% of students on free/reduced lunch..The API student test score rank is in the bottom 20% of all CA schools.

Some of my thoughts from a Lincolnian perspective:

The way forward involves helping to redevelop a sense of national pride and unity through creative and interesting public programs. Educational objectives need to refocus on the goal of helping students to better understand not only their rights as Americans, but their duties and responsibilities to protect our liberty and viability as a nation as well.

It’s time to create a modern-day melting pot where the “main course” is our unity as Americans. The many “side dishes and desserts” are comprised from our ethnic heritage, religion, and race. These qualities make each of us unique as individuals and allow us to enjoy the feast all the more.

Who’s hungry?

Check out Lincolnians.org for more information.

So your point being Hispanics are more likely to be located in lower income areas. Isn't that a little subtle racism?! I would be offended if I were hispanic.

I said over 70%!!!! and Doral's population is just barely 20,000 people.(20,438 to be exact) That's a weak response.

Is that the richest Hispanic city? $57k isn't that much..

** While not all of these cities are 70% Hispanic, they are a majority Hispanic (sometimes according to population and other times as the largest ethnic group).

Also, Hispanics only account for 12.5% (Census 2000) of the U.S. population (and a good portion of the lower end of socioeconomic spectrum), so to find a 25k city that is 70% Hispanic is RARE in its own right.

The median household income in California is $50k. And your trying to prove there's rich cities, while you list some that aren't even "average." The cities making above average ($60k and up) Hispanics were(ex. 30%, 25%, 40%, and sorry one 56%)

Considering that, 1 in 3 Californian's speak Spanish-This should have been easy!
Find me the "Beverly Hills of Hispanics!"

I can name for you rich Black cities, rich White cities, but can you name a rich Hispanic city?

CORRECTION: None of these cities are 70% Hispanic, they are a majority Hispanic (sometimes according to population and other times as the largest ethnic group).
