Things are not as they seem..........read the article first everyone--------both pro and anti illegal immigrant supporters.

RAFAEL LARA GRAJALES, Mexico – The Sunday afternoon calm was broken by shouts from the small, mission-style house, watched over by a statue of the Virgin Mary.

Bloodied hands punched through the windows. The glass shattered. Suddenly, dozens of people were clambering over the back wall and jumping onto the street below.
Yahoo News article (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081025/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/lt_mexico_migrant_revolt - broken link)

And Mexico has the nerve to slam the USA for stricter border enforcement?

For resident Mariana Solis, the town should serve as a model throughout Mexico and beyond. She said Americans who turn a blind eye to migrant abuse in the U.S. should take heed.
"We all have people in the U.S., and we don't want the same thing to happen to them," she said.

It sounds like in Mexico, the police want to make money from their illegals and the people want to allow them only because they know they are only passing through, headed to the USA.

I doubt those townspeople would be so tolerant if they thought the illegals wanted to stay and take their jobs and be supported by the taxpayers.

haha...wow..responses are classic.

I was impressed by how the Mexican people helped these illegal immigrants, how they banded together. That is the real Mexican people. Many of you dont want to acknowledge that, instead want to focuse on what the authorities do without giving the Mexicans credit for the brave thing they did.

Good post for TRYING to show the Mexican people arent as evil as you think.

Mexico doesn't even want Mexican illegals coming back, I really doubt they want the Central Americans to stay and cut wages or live off taxpayer provided programs.

I definitely have my prejudices against illegals: that stated; being abused by the coyotes is bad enough----------but when so-called 'law enforcement' gets in on the act------------that I do have a problem with.

Has anyone heard if the Federales presence has helped cleaning up the gang problems in border areas?

I strongly doubt it-----------looking at the Arellano Felix drug cartel, Zetas, etc.

I'm no "real Mexican", I'm a "True American". I'm concerned about what happens in THIS country. Just because the U.S. Laws and Illegal Immigrants don't mix, does not mean that we're racist. It's called enforcing the laws. Now if you don't like it.......TS!!.
