Democrats will grant amnesty to 20 million illegals and create a huge base of supporters
If Obama wins and grants amnesty to the illegals in this country, it will be difficulty for Republicans to win again in the foreseeable future. Those illegals will become faithful supporters of the Democratic party because they were granted amnesty. I don't think people realize how serious this is. So far I've refrained from discussing the election much with anyone in my real life. But I am going to start. This is far too important. Fellow conservatives, we have to get the message out. Obama cannot be allowed to win this election.

We have turned a blind eye to these immigrants for years as they provide cheap labor and bolster our economy. Amnesty is the honest thing to do if we have no resolve to send them back; I have seen no serious politician really interested in doing that.

How could they grant amnisty to all of them?
At least a third went home already for lack of employment in the US.

The problem is, both mccain and obama have promised de facto amnesty should they be elected. Both parties want to 'own' the massive latino bloc that would be born with amnesty.
The only hope to fight amnesty (regardless of who wins) will be our representatives in the house and senate. Hopefully, they will have the balls to go against their parties and vote for the best interests of their country and the people they represent.

Darn right we fought it. The American taxpayers are footing the bill for their health care and education. How is this fair? They are here illegally. If they want to be citizens, they need to try it the right way. People who came here legally are not thrilled with people coming here illegaly and being allowed to stay either.

Then who are you voting for since neither McCain nor Obama can be allowed to win this election considering they both have the same stance on illegal immigration? McCain perhaps is more giving on the issue since he helped draft the bill.
Inquiring minds want to know. Either you're going 3rd party or a hypocrite.

We did that in 1986. Over 3 million illegals were granted amnesty and the American people were assured that this would solve the problem of illegal immigration. Based on the fact that we now have at least 12 millions illegal aliens, I have to say the 1986 amnesty was a spectacular failure. It solved nothing. If we do as you suggest and grant amnesty to the 12 million here now, what do you propose we do with the next 12 million illegal aliens that slow up to await another serial amnesty?

I would rather just take their money and give them the green card and let them start paying. My husband is a legal immigrant and the amount of paperwork and money that the US government requires will fuel an entire industry! Do you know that he is here legally, has paid all his fees and is still walking around with extension letters because they are literally years behind in their own paperwork? He will be applying for citizenship before he gets his restrictions lifted? So thousands of dollars later and he is still walking around with a piece of paper that says you can stay but we can't process you.

I am voting for McCain, because other than immigration and the bailout, I agree with him 100%. And at least McCain has started to listen to what Americans are saying about illegal immigration. Obama has a whole different agenda and no way I would vote for him.
