Both candidates support expanding the guest worker programme so builders and agri-business can legally bring in the workforce they need.

But getting Congress to agree on such a hot button topic is tricky; an attempt two years ago, supported by Senator McCain, collapsed amid criticism it would amount to amnesty for people who were in America illegally.

So in the absence of reform at a national level, local councils like Prince William County are filling the void.

The next president will have to steer a compromise.

Stop blaming stuff on illegal immigrants. What about foreclosure, crime rate, house values, and other stuff. America have alot more issues than illegal immigration.

Accept the fact that you can't remove 12 million people, it don't work like that. The economy still will be messed up without them. What about foreclosure, unemployment, over crowded prisons, and other stuff beside immigration. Every American don't agree with your view points.

You obviously do not know Americans all that well: slow to anger; but once enraged------------we go all the way.

Be it rebuilding after a disaster, fighting a war, or expelling the illegals-----------we will prevail.

I'd be on board with a guest worker program.

It will allow people to come here, make money that their families desperately need, then go back to where they live.

I dont think illegals are contributing as much to the debt as our little Iraq situation.
