He still has the position of Mayor of Hazelton, PA.

Lou is not anti-immigrant. Lou is anti-illegal immigrant and there is a huge difference between the two.
Crime is way down in hazelton and the residents support him. He lost to Kanjorski because Luzerne County is hard core democrat. It doesn't matter that Kanjorski does a lousy job, it doesn't matter that he has made many friends and family members rich with his pork scams. It only matters that he is democrat.

Well most of the bad things happening recently in the NEPA (Northeast PA) are attributed by the locals to the influx of NJers, and NYers
