Hispanic Activists Cite an Uptick in Threats of Violence - washingtonpost.com

I may be anti-illegal but i do not approve of death threats. However name-calling is fair game.

I agree; unfortunately, the law of unintended consequences is coming into play.

A while back I was warning about just such things occurring.

Maybe it is time for NCLR to fold its tent and disappear into the night-----------its title alone has racist connotations. Never mind that there is no actual Hispanic race.

I heartily disapprove of violence. Name calling doesn't rank up there too highly either. Once that sort of rhetoric begins, all credibility is lost.

That said, if you're going to champion an unpopular cause (illegal immigration) you had better be ready to deal with the fallout from that position.

Since when did the nutjobs making threats from the anti-immigrant movement become the angry public?

And you will notice; blacknight04, that nobody on this thread is 'happy' about the threats in question.

Even if the groups at the receiving end of said threats are indeed traitors for advocating amnesty for criminals AKA illegal immigrants.

I was just taking issue with the title of the thread.

I don't condone violence either.
I don't know if any of you remember the 60's riots in Michigan, but I was caught in the middle of 2 of them,,without choice. That's nothing you Reminisce about.

I sent Janet that modified picture of her in a KKK robe. The only thing it said was "a taste of your own medicine".
There was nothing threatening about that.

I also disprove of threats of violence made towards pro-illegal immigration activists but I suppose it's expected considering that there will always be radicals on both sides of the issue.

Why is Andrea Bazan, a Caucasian, supporting the NCLR? She's a WHITE Hispanic for goodness sake!
