An El Paso judge resentenced Jose Alonso Compean Wednesday to 10 years in prison for his conviction on a charge of using a weapon in the commission of a felony and another two years for assault and other charges, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.

did you read the article. Do you know who Campeon is?

Us Border agent, American citizen entrusted to defend the border AGAINST the illegals. He and another border agent used not so deadly forces against an illegal drug smuggler and for their efforts THEY were charged with crimes by the shrub administration and sent to jail.

A lot of people DO consider them hero's and victims of a flawed bush policy.

bush could have pardoned these men and did not
the sky is cryin.
these days its much easier for a police department to fire and jail a cop than defend him in a law suit. never never tie up a guard dog. we will pay a big price this error.

its still possible for pres. bush to pardon both these guys. I hope that happens. I dont want to retry the case here. just want to see these guys get out of jail.

We should all PRAY that President Bush will do the right thing and PARDON both Campean and Ramos prior to leaving office in January.

retired cop here. Republican ta boot. Sorry, bush hasnt the family jewels to pardon those two. hell he could have stopped the prosecution in the first place and he was more interested in placating the antis .............
