Good Grief, Lakewooder . . . when will this crap end?

Some may scream "profiling" but, obviously, these idiots were fully aware they were hiring illegals.

The school board cannot be recalled by law and the board is voting to extend their terms. They will not fire the superintendent - I urge everyone to write to the FBI, Homeland Security and the Texas Education Agency to stop these criminals.

Doug Phillips, TEA's director of investigations and fingerprinting, said his office believed the district had stopped the practice because there was no evidence that it continued. He said Thursday that he didn't know which laws forbid issuing fake Social Security numbers.
While stupidity is not a crime,

Ignorance is no excuse.

When ever a persons SS#, DL, ID, ect, is found to be fraudulantly used by a business or employer.
The legal holder of the number/ID should be compensated for the illegal use of the number/ID and reimburst for any inconvenience that may have, could have or would have occured.

Call it a,Security/Risk fee.

The story made the NYT:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/15/us...=1&oref=slogin

"...DALLAS — Eager to hire teachers for bilingual education programs, the Dallas public school system assigned fake Social Security numbers to newly hired foreigners so it could get them on the payroll quickly, an internal investigation found.

The district continued the practice for years, the investigation found, even after it was admonished by a state agency. It was only halted this summer.

“The inappropriate procedure of assigning false SSNs has been systemic,” investigators with the school district’s Office of Professional Responsibility wrote in a report on the matter dated Sept. 25..."

state education official processing fingerprint and background checks on the new teachers had discovered the practice in 2004 and advised the Dallas district that it was illegal.
“So we were shocked to learn today that Dallas I.S.D. has continued to issue fraudulent Social Security numbers after we admonished them to stop,” said Debbie Ratcliffe, communications director for the Texas Education Agency.

The agency is updating its teacher records and “examining applicable statutes to determine which, if any of them, have been broken and what appropriate action to take,” Ms. Ratcliffe said.

“We think it’s certainly wrong,” she said. “Whether it’s illegal, I’m not sure.
I feel like smacking some of these idiots when they play stupid.

First she advices them that it's illegal and then when they get caught she say's."Whether it’s illegal, I’m not sure"
