Keep in mind most of the dirtbags that voted against securing our borders were re-elected. Most of the dirtbags who favor amnesty were re-elected. We have a very liberal congress and senate this in itself is a very bad thing when it comes to national defence and security. The libs tend to blame america first and have a self hate mentality. In the end they hope to apease our enemies through gifts in hopes that they might feel a measure of gratitude, which of course they do not. In the case of the Souhern border. Many libs feel that we some how owe Mexico a debt or at least penance because we are successful and they are not. Go figure.
Folks we are in trouble because the libs and the repubs understand one inherit fault of americans. We are short term thinkers and are cursed with a short term memory. We forget easily the lessons of the past. In short we forgive those elected reps who fail us and we re-elect them.
Well stated, I couldn't agree more.

Agreed. They are all in bed together. Our only hope (unfortunately) is the continuous economic downturn and corporate failure.

We can only hope that before this nation reaches the point of total collapse that our pending demise will serve as a reality check and wakeup call to those living in glass houses.

I think we have the same old circus with different clowns in the WH now.

My hope is that Obama being the bright young man he is, will surprise us with enforcement of our borders. Holding out for the hope he spoke of.

we are supposed to be the worlds bread basket of democracy and yet we only have two [lame] party choices when we go to the polls. it's a sad joke and the joke's on us! unfortunately i don't see the american sheeple forcing any changes anytime soon.

speaking of the american sheeple, there's a recent scarry development i've seen that i think says alot about where we are as a sheeple. WHAT'S UP WITH THIS OBAMA, CULT OF PERSONALITY, HERO WORSHIP BULLSH*T! sure, he may [or may not] do some real good for this country, but he's a politician, HE SHOULD BE SCRUTINIZED NOT WORSHIPED!

It is the stupid media, TV and talk radio, and publications that keep the 2 Party system alive and well.
Every election, they are like kids looking for candy.

I think the media, newspapers, magazines, and talk radio are paid advertisers for the parties. I am serious. I bet they are paid.

NO you are in error. Its the people who keep the 2 party system alive. Too close minded, too short sighted, and short term thinking keeps most voters grounded in the 2 party system. Blame the idiots that vote party line no matter what. The blame rests squarely on the shoulders of all the voters more willing to re-elect encumbants with an 8% approval rating then to risk change.

I hear you. I often wonder when Americans became so enthralled with human worship. This is truly the lost generation of laziness and sense of entitlement. This country has changed a whole lot in the last decade and not for the better.

Great post!

I'll have to disagree....

Two pages to this thread are laced with laying blame on elected officials who have little influence and control over the immigration issue.

The real culprits of the immigration problem come from two groups: Businessowners who hire & contract with illegal immigrants, and homeowner's who hire illegal immigrants.

If these two groups would curtail their illegal activities FIRST, We could very easily make the necessary changes to our laws to restrict illegal medical care and birth rights for children of immigrants.

There has to be a willingness by the people, for the people, and the elected officials will follow suit.

Good post but add to it the gov should hold those guilty accountable and punish them enough to make others think twice about the risk.
Good post.
