Yes, I know it doesn't benefit you, but how does it affect you? Does it affect you?

I'm not talking about people throwing out statistics. I'm talking about you personally. How does amnesty affect you, personally?

If anybody thinks Obama is against amnesty they are in deep doo doo. Like Bush, the new president will never send anyone home but will hopefully get a handle on the border situation.

Amnesty is definitely coming but controlling the border will also improve considerably.

this part is especially telling:
Removing the border patrol from our southwest border, they will say, will flood the United States with unskilled workers, overburden the infrastructure of localities, and wreak havoc on our welfare system. But in years ahead what is now viewed as a threat will be viewed as a benefit: because the U.S. population is aging and the ratio of workers to retired persons is decreasing, new immigrant workers will likely be the key to the economic growth necessary to sustain social security systems and our standard of living."

the plan all along (for both presidents evidently) has been to bring them here, legalize them, and prop up social security temporarily so it does not fail as soon as it is expected to.

These aren't Doctors or Engineers sneaking across. These are people that are laborers at best. The children of these laborers are also the biggest % of dropouts and the largest % using Social Services from WIC, free education, free lunch, 6-6 programs and healthcare. All of the studies have shown it is not the first generation to turn around productivity.

i am not agreeing with it! that quote is from the obama transition team. they are just interested in propping up social security by legalizing these immigrants. they are not evaluating (as you said) the incredible drain that they are putting on our system just by being here. our politicians originally wanted them here to start the housing boom and subsequent bubble, as well as for social security. they are just going from bubble to bubble trying to keep the economy afloat and it won't work of course if you look at the charts.

I posed the question to the other poster asking him what he knows about Ceullar in response to his inane, un-backed-up post.

Now that's more like it! Reputable. The facts here speak for themselves.

I will state this now, If you voted for Obama then illegal immigration was not your number issue of concern.

What made you think that Obama would side with you on this issue?

What made you think he wouldn't not appoint people in favor of some sort of reform/amnesty?

If this was your number #1 concern then you would have voted McCain...because even if he was for amnesty the people he would have appointed would have been against it...McCain most likely would have appeased the far right and appointed people like Romney to power positions...
