Days later, Jorge and Jose were arrested. Jose was charged with common-law uttering after investigators determined he gave them false identification. Jorge, who provided his real name, was taken into custody because of his immigration status. He was quickly deported.

The brothers, who had asked the police for help, went from being victims of a crime to being the accused. They were ensnared by the federal 287(g) program, which lets local law enforcement begin deportation proceedings for undocumented immigrants guilty of felonies, DWIs and serious crimes. But increasingly the program has strayed from its focus on DWIs and felonies, as more Latinos are arrested and deported for committing lesser offenses or no offenses at all.

************************

Yet for crime victims Jorge and Jose Segura-Rios, their mountain only got bigger when they called police.

Many Latinos deported, not for felonies, but for minor offenses: Hand of law: News: Feature: Independent Weekly: Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill

These people are nuttier than fruit cakes. Their blatant arrogance, contempt and disregard of OUR LAWS whenever they are inconvenient for them is just mind boggling. Is it any wonder that their homelands are the most dysfunctionally pathetic, corrupt cesspools from hell?

deportation is something that happens when a green card does something wrong.
deportation of an illegal does not have to have a reason, he is already eligible for deportation.
when our government lets the laws be ignored when you enforce them people think there is something wrong with you.

The fact that they are here ILLEGALLY is indeed a crime, they just don't expect to be deported for it. That article is about as delusional and flagrantly foul as they come. They are so used to being permitted to ignore those of our laws that punish their criminal actions that they get bent out of shape when they get deported. First time illegal entry may not be a felony, but none theless is still a crime according to US law.

Sad, but what do they expect? If you are in this country (or hell, any country on Earth illegally) one should be prepared to be deported at a moments notice.
It is sad that the guy was a victim of crime and then was deported after reporting the crime -- but how is that any different from someone calling the police because their house was burgalrized, then when the police are at their home they find a stash of coke. In that instance, the victims of the burglary then get arrested for possession of narcotics. It is possible to be both victim and criminal at the same time. The only difference is that newspaper print biased articles showcasing the tears of the criminal illegal in this case but not so for the criminal coke head in the other.

Isn't this the way its supposed to be? I constantly coach my wife to not even get a speeding ticket, as an immigrant she can be deported.
These illegals make me shake my head in wonder. Lets call the police we are victims of a crime. But wait don't arrest us because we are also criminals. LOL Only in america.

No offense at all? There being here already means at least one offense.
