The 39-year-old Tipton woman said she was depressed, on several medications and told by a witch doctor in Mexico to get rid of the boy, Maj. Jeff Ward, a detective with the Frankfort Police Department, testified Monday during Ornelas' sentencing hearing.
What authorities believe, however, is that Ornelas saw Julian Ornelas as a burden because of a medical condition in which the boy's head is too small for his body.
"Julian was a special-needs child. I believe this was an indirect way of saying Julian was just an inconvenience to you," said Judge Kathy Smith of Clinton Superior Court.
I'm tired of her offensive posts and commentary bashing Hispanics with little or no relation to the actual immigration issue.
Are you claiming the woman in the article is not an immigrant?
We just had a Mexican guy say the devil told him to throw his son out the window of a moving car, the baby is in critical condition at the hospital that provides free care to Mexicans.
There is an awful lot of this, and the pro-illegals were quick to claim that crap about "family values" when there was never any evidence of that. Many illegals do not believe they are obligated to abide by any of our laws at all. Illegals are not generally responsible or hard working except that some might be desperately poor, unskilled, and will do menial labor because that's all they can do but that is not good for our country.

Based on the note, investigators believed that Julian's name was Martín and that his mother was an immigrant from Guatemala who could no longer afford to care for him.
Of course there aren't. They whine, moan and complain because they can't stand the truth or deal with reality. As long as it's in print, and in accordance with TOS, I'll continue to post it in the IMMIGRATION thread of CD, complete with links whether they like it or not.
These are good examples actually because they show what kind of "immigrant" we're talking about. These people didn't make it in their own country when they speak the language and know the culture not because their own countries are actually so horrendous but because they have backward values. They didn't make it in Mexico or Guatemala in part because they don't value education, they aren't skilled, they reproduce irresponsibly. They aren't going to adapt to modern life in our country any more than they adapted in their own country.
If we were to cut off the free housing, food stamps, WIC, free health care and all the other government assistence, these people would be just as poor as they were back home. They'd be selling gum on our sidewalk corners.
