The Republicans love to bash immigrants and illegal immigrants with lines like "they get free medical care and food stamps." Of course they never let the TRUTH get in the way of politics. Here are the FACTS:
1. Illegal aliens qualify for NOTHING but emergency care in this country. If they get sick or get cancer, they are sent home to die. No chemo and no treatment is given to them at all.
2. Legal immigrants also qualify for nothing except for emergency care and immunizations for children. They must be in the country for 5 years before they qualify for ANY government program including Section 8, foodstamps, SCHIP, Medicare, Medicaid. They must be present and WORK for 10 years before they qualify for Social Security benefits of any kind. If a child of a LEGAL immigrant gets cancer and does not have PRIVATE insurance, they too are sent home to DIE and no treatment is given.
Emergency care is expensive! If they have babies here and they are preemies, isn't it part of emergency care to put those babies in neonatal ICU? And what is the cost of that?????
They get a LOT of cancer treatment and all other kinds of treatment.
There are so many loopholes in the laws, they may as well not exist at all. For example, an illegal with cancer will show up at an Emergency room, for anemia or bleeding or whatever and be admitted. That's all it takes and they become a lifelong burden on the American people.

The reason so many illegals are reproducing like it's going out of style is those USA born babies bring them all the food stamps, section 8 housing, Medicaid, WIC, and much much more.
Once the baby is born, the food stamps will be given, and the amount of food stamps is based on number of people living in the household. They are not given just for the anchor baby.
Well my sister in law, a LEGAL US immigrant would like to know where she can apply. She has 3 kids and works at a hotel. If you could direct her to the office where she can apply to get foodstamps and SCHIP for her uninsured children, she would be thankful to you! I mean, after all, she has 3 kids and works in a hotel as a cook making $9.50 an hour so I am sure she qualifies!
You didn't mention how much her husband earns. She may be making $9.50 an hour while her husband, the father of her children makes $40 an hour and that could be the problem.

That is TRUE because the baby is a USA CITIZEN. But immigrant children are not and do not qualify for ANYTHING- legal or illegal.

The father of her children is long dead. Died before they came here. So if he is making $40 an hour in Kingston Jamaica, she'd like to know about it.
If she in fact came here legally, where is her sponsor? A sponsor of an immigrant signs a paper stating they will provide financial support for his/her immigrant.
She should be hitting up her sponsor for some financial support -- NOT the American taxpayers.
