About your second issue: I do have a question for you: How did you meet your CUBAN woman? I think you are the only one to blame. Why? You must be mad to meet a women in bars, resturangs, street, etc in a Country you don't really know and bring one of them to your home abroad. I've lived in several countries at ALL women you meet "out there" are "gold diggers", "looking for a better life", "doing short cuts", etc. What did you expect? Unconditional love? What? Do you some issues that you cannot find a woman in Canada so you have to go abroad and find an apparently submissive lady to take back home? Not even the Cubans I know go back to the island and bring a woman from there!!. Not because of the Cuba women but because you never know how ANY woman react once the situation changes.

I suspect that there are some issues from your side. Sorry, but you are the only one to blame.

Funny how you talk to me. It's seems you know more about me that I. First of all, I got married in 1987 with a woman from the philippines. Her too wanted to get out of her country. We were together 17 years and had two kids. Unconditional love? Nop, just love and I had it with her.

I can't find a woman in my country? Damn right, I can't find anyone who wants to get married and have children. Here, it's me, me, me. Most people I know can't have a serious lasting relationship. That's my issue.

A submisive woman? You are obviously stuck to stereotypes, i.e., don't know much about the reality. The "submisive" asian woman looks submisive in public but in the house, she is not. As far as the submisive cuban woman? That does not exist. If there is a woman on this planet who know what she wants, it's the cuban woman.

Where did I meet my wife in Cuba? Why do you decide I met her in a bar or in the streets? What do you know about that? It's funny how you have no clue what you are talking but manage to draw conclusions.

I am to blame for beeing honest, for falling in love and for trusting. Maybe I should just have been like so many tourists, looking for cheap sex. Guilty again for looking for a serious relation.

She was working 8 to 5 for copextel, in centro habana. And most evenings, she was studying administration in the university. She was not a girl from the street and I did not meet her in the disco. She has a nice decent family. I thought her brother was going to be a very good friend.

Christian:
Look on the internet for the ICE site. There should be a way to check with them. You didn't say your wife asked for asylum, so if she just jumped the border, she may not be here legally. If she did ask for asylum, you could probably prove she wan't entitled to that. Also, I think the 'wet foot-dry foot' policy only applies to the Cuban boat people, not those coming from another country.

As for the couple claiming refugee status, they may have claimed they were political refugees who arrived on a boat from Cuba. I don't believe they would be granted refugee status were it known they were Canadian citizens.

I really want to talk to your friends. A cuban national has the right to enter the USA by any means, they will be paroled as soon as they cross. But there are somethings that can be done. Actually, I am paving the way.
