Nothing but low-level sarcasm....that PARTICULAR SENTENCE was just that...nothing deeper.

The whole case does have a very twisted history, and evokes all sorts of conflicting feelings....among them, the precedence given a particularly odious 'victim' (who, as you may know, during the long months that followed the incident, was apprehended AGAIN, with hundreds of MORE pounds of 'stuff'...and who was sought out in Mexico and flown here, and whose testimony was MOST of what put these two agents away).

The agents "did wrong", in that they 'monkeyed' with official reporting requirements..but it seems to ME that their 'victim' did a lot worse, and will probably continue to do so...yet as far as I know, he's immune from prosecution, and apparently eligible for a huge injury award, ('Worker's Comp', maybe?)...should he choose to pursue it.

But never mind all that...the sentence you referred to was just playful sarcasm, nothing more...

There is a lesson to be learned in my opinion, they say if you're going to point a gun a man, shoot to kill and make sure you have a drop gun.

I would find it acceptable if Bush goes to prison to replace Ramos and Campean.
He wouldn't be safe in "General Population"....

Good thing Bush finally did this, but he should have pardoned them since all they did was to protect our borders, you know, their damn job.

They should have never been put on trial. Davila was finally captured and is currently in jail. It's probably a better life than his prior one.

I am so happy they will be with their families now. I was feeling rather blue thinking that this would not happen, but so glad it did. Looking forward to noon tomorrow!!!!

Because our justice system is flawed and there was a pro-illegal agenda to be pushed. That has to be the lamest argument.

So I assume you would use the same argument for civil rights activists that may have been jailed in the 1960s?
