There will indeed be rampant abuse; and true to form, there will be lax governmental oversight. They won’t know ‘who’ is receiving these benefits, anymore than they know ‘where’ the billions have gone in the bank bailouts.
You people have amazing powers..you can predict the future!!!!!

Do you even care about all the american kids who will be helped by this bill? I am glad you are in the very tiny minority when it comes to this program.

They don't really care about what the bill will actually do. They opposed the bill last year even when kids of LEGAL immigrant weren't included. They claim to care about americans but they oppose even simple efforts to help innocent american kids.

Those who supported lifting the five-year waiting period, however, say it is unfair to ask those who are in the country legally and pay taxes to ask their children to go without needed medical care. "I believe that no lawfully present child in this country should be required to wait five years before they can get health care," said Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D-WV).
Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-NM) said immigrants already have an incentive to come to the United States illegally to have their children, because anyone born here is entitled to benefits as a citizen. Yet if that same family follows all the rules and enters legally, he says, "we are going to deny them the same benefits they would have had if they had come in illegally. And that just doesn't make any sense."

Before we go crazy high 5'ing and head smacking, if you read the original post, you might notice words such as "purportedly" and "some authors claim" that most reasonable readers would conclude were opinion.

Providing you with data to support those opinions has been done. If we learn from history, it would be anticipated that illegal immigrants will flagrantly abuse this system, take what is not theirs, forge or lie to deceive and otherwise act like the economic predators they are.

I also point out that it is quite rude and controlling to tell other people what type of links YOU want to see. Who cares? If YOU don't like the links maybe YOU should not bother to click on them. However, these links provided an interesting read.

The loopholes are not only apparent in the bill, but the reason behind the change in eligibility rules occurs why?

I'm supportive of the goals of this program, but want to see something that is quite specific to legal residents and those who economically cannot reasonably afford care.

Don't get too excited, don't accidentally smack your heads into each other during a mutual admiration club meet; debunking is yet to be seen in regard to the original post. The original concerns of abuse of this program by illegals remain.

Consider the source.

Remember as enforcement against illegal immigration intensifies: those who profit from it will become ever more frightened-----------hence their insolent attitude.

Read that once the temper tantrums start: that means we are touching sensitive 'nerves', as it were.

I support president Obama fully. It looks, however, like he is not going to do much for immigration reform"
