A sting operation targeting suspected prostitution activity at Vista day spas and acupuncture clinics resulted today in nearly two dozen arrests. The multi-agency operation resulted from complaints that a number of Asian physical therapy establishments in the area were offering sex acts among their paid services, according to sheriff's officials.

Immigration checks determined that some of the suspects were in the country illegally, according to Curran.

I agree.

I'm surprised that these illegal aliens were trying to illegally enter the US from good ol' liberal and egalitarian Canada.

"He was angry that she'd soiled herself so he suffocated her with the diaper," Det. Sgt. Bob Quirk said.

Melendez-Reynoso, an illegal-immigrant who is considered a flight risk, was denied bond by Cook County Judge Edward Antonietti at the Markham Courthouse Saturday, said Tandra Simonton, a spokeswoman for the Cook County state's attorney's office.

He is charged with first-degree murder and is in custody in Cook County Jail.

Authorities initially believed there was strong evidence that a badly bruised Yvette was raped before she was killed, but Quirk said the delayed results of an autopsy revealed no conclusive signs of sexual abuse.

The Illinois Department for Children and Family Services has taken Melendez-Reynoso's child into care, he added.

Default Cops: Suspected Illegal Stole Neighbor's DVDs

Iím sorry, but this is just funny.

Quote:
A man arrested for allegedly stealing his neighbor's Netflix movies might have even more trouble to deal with, after cops say he could be in the country illegally.

Sharonville Police say Johnathan Santos, also known as Raymundo Flores Toro, stole his neighbors mail Wednesday night at an apartment in the 11000 block of Reading Road. Among that mail were Netflix DVD movies, cops say.

When police arrived to investigate the alleged crime, Santos identified himself as Toro. As a result, he was booked on a providing false information charge in addition to a theft count.

Police say immigration agents were called in to see if Santos is in the country illegally from Mexico.

The employers weren't charged because they hired this illegal on good faith? What the heck does that mean?!

"Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents did not charge the motel's managers with employing an illegal immigrant saying the managers acted in good faith in hiring the man."
An illegal immigrant working maintenance at a West Knoxville motel has been indicted on charges he broke into a guest's room, raped and killed her, and dumped her body into the Clinch River in September of 2009.

A Knox County grand jury indicted Valentino Vasquez Miranda, 20, Tuesday on charges of first degree murder, felony murder, aggravated burglary, especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape, and abuse of a corpse in connection with the murder of Jennifer Lee Hampton, 21.

Hampton was staying at the Days Inn on Lovell Road on September 20th last year when according to documents filed by police in the case, Miranda, who was a housekeeper for Days Inn, allegedly used a key card to gain access to the room.

He allegedly raped Hampton, strangled her, then dumped her body into the Clinch River. Her body was found a week later.

Hampton had been in town to help open a restaurant in West Knoxville. She was from Alabama.

Miranda was arrested on the day police were called to the hotel to investigate Hampton's disappearance. He was in possession of what police said was a fake social security card.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents did not charge the motel's managers with employing an illegal immigrant saying the managers acted in good faith in hiring the man.

Miranda is being held on a $1,000,000 bond. New court dates have not yet been set.
