HAGERSTOWN, Md. | A fired Fannie Mae contract worker pleaded not guilty Friday to charges that he planted a virus designed to destroy all the data on the mortgage giant's 4,000 computer servers nationwide, according to federal prosecutors.

If the virus had been released as planned Saturday, the Justice Department said the disruption could have cost millions of dollars and shut down operations for a week at the largest U.S. mortgage finance company.

Rajendrasinh B. Makwana, 35, of Glen Allen, Va., pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court in Baltimore to one count of computer intrusion, the U.S. attorney's office said.

The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.

Mr. Makwana, a citizen of India, was fired early on the afternoon of Oct. 24 from his job at Fannie Mae's data center in Urbana, Md., about 35 miles from the company's Washington headquarters, according to court records. An affidavit states that he was fired for erroneously writing programming instructions two weeks earlier that changed the settings on company servers.

I wonder if he is here courtesy of one of those H1B Visas Bill Gates demanded.

It will be interesting if he was in fact one of the highly-qualified H-1B Visa employees. Fortunately, this guy was caught. Lord only knows how many other malevolent foreigners we may have working in classified areas of our government or major corporations.

Of course, we have homegrown shysters, so we shouldn’t complain about our imported workers.

Of course we shouldn't complain. Besides I see nothing wrong with importing massive amounts of foreigners being given free reign to pursue their personal goals and agendas in the destruction of the US. They're just here looking for a better life. Besides, we have nothing to be concerned about, 9-11 happened ages ago . . .

"Mr. Makwana, a citizen of India"

A disgruntled HB1 Visa holder perhaps? Let's just say, it only took 19 immigrant/aliens to take down the twin towers.

Hezbollah is now believed to be training Mexican drug cartel enforcers the art of bomb making. The training is designed to combat the Mexican Army and police, American Special Forces and DEA agents now operating in Mexico.

Homeland Security has said that there are Hezbollah members operating in the U.S. and it is reasonable to believe they are in contact with other Hezbollah in Mexico and around the world. In addition to other terrorist attacks, Hezbollah has been tied to the 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut that left 241 U.S. personnel dead, and the 1996 Khobar Towers attack in Saudi Arabia that left 19 U.S. servicemen dead.

One U.S. law enforcement official, speaking on condition of anonymity, says there is considerable forensic evidence tying Hezbollah bomb experts to roadside explosions in Iraq.

Dennis Lormel, who founded the counterterrorist financing program at the FBI, says the United States has been a cash cow for Hezbollah.

"They raise funds through business fronts, through criminal activity, use of shell companies and through fundraising mechanisms," he says.
I had heard that Hezbollah members have been taught spanish, given spanish surnames and escorted across our border with the help of more than a few mexican nationals. Yet another reason to seal the southern border and get ALL of their illegal alien nationals out of this country. Those with anchors should be compelled to take them with them. The last thing we want to do is separate them from their "family values".

Thanks for the link Vlad

Unfortunately: said individuals got into the USA legally; but once here, slipped away.

With outsourcing, people all over the world have access to our personal data. They really don't need to come here (legal or illegal) to wreak havoc.

This is a very disconcerting truth. We’ve been fortunate not to have experienced any major problems; particularly, in the IT field. Everything is so reliant on computers, we would be paralyzed.

Truer words. In many ways the internet is a valuable tool and in other ways it's a curse. The scams that are being hatched i.e.: identity theft, bogus on-line tax filings, bank fraud and a slew of other criminal activity against the US government and private citizens, courtesy of illegal aliens and businesses abroad is absolutely breathtaking.
