Zogby Post-Election Poll Reveals No Mandate for Illegal Alien Amnesty

Among the key findings of the poll are:

-- Only 32% of Obama voters considered his support for amnesty as a factor in their decisions to vote for him. 67% said it was either not a factor at all, or they voted for Obama in spite of his stance on amnesty.

-- 60% of voters said reducing illegal immigration and cracking down on employers who hire them is important to them, while only 21%supported "legalizing or creating a pathway to citizenship" for illegal aliens.

-- 57% of voters stated that amnesty would harm American workers and further strain public resources, while only 26% believe amnesty would aid economic recovery and ease public burdens.

Got a problem with Zogby? Take it up with the Wall Street Journal.
It's useless to try and convince the offspring of Illegal Aliens or the owners of businesses that hire below the minimum wage. Since they benefit from open borders and using taxpayer provided free social services why would they listen?

History has proven that most criminals keep breaking laws until they pay a price sufficient to break the bad behavior. Then and only then will they stop.

Absolutely! A slap on the wrist will deter nothing.

LOL, do you know who commissioned that poll?

The poll conducted by Zogby International on behalf of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) on November 5 and 6 also found that a decisive majority of voters believe that an illegal alien amnesty would "further harm the interests of struggling American workers."
What results would you expect from an anti-immigrant group founded by the racist John Tanton?

Gallup's Pulse of Democracy
Immigration
Guidance for Lawmakers
  1. Americans believe immigration, in the abstract, has been good for the United States, but do not want to see current levels of immigration increased. Americans overwhelmingly oppose efforts to make it easier for illegal immigrants to become citizens.
  2. There is no evidence to suggest that immigration, either legal or illegal, is a high-priority issue for the average American today.
  3. On the illegal immigration issue, most Americans think it is important to control the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States as well as to address the status of illegal immigrants currently in the United States. At least 6 in 10 Americans favor allowing illegal immigrants a chance to become U.S. citizens if they meet certain requirements.

I'd say gallup is pretty accurate right?

It can't be 6 out of 10, because they never contacted me. Did anyone else on this board respond to that Gallup poll?

Did you blacknight?

Sorry, I guess you wouldn't.

The Nativist Lobby: Three Faces of Intolerance describes how the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) and NumbersUSA were founded and funded by John Tanton, a retired Michigan ophthalmologist who operates a racist publishing company and has written that to maintain American culture, "a European-American majority" is required.

The report examines how Tanton, who still sits on FAIR's board of directors, founded the racist Social Contract Press and has corresponded with Holocaust deniers, white nationalist intellectuals and Klan lawyers for decades — correspondence documented by his own writings stored at a University of Michigan library.
It also shows that FAIR has been aware of his views and activities for years

Funny (but not really) that you would make the above point. I have never been contacted by anyone researching the issue of illegal immigration. I am always curious as to who they are polling, except when it comes to LaRaza, et al. I'm sure they only poll spanish speaking illegal aliens, and anchor babies in order to ensure that they get the results they desire.

You still didn't answer the question..as expected. A simple yes or no would suffice.
