Amen!! Charity begins at home. This is "supposed" to be America which means Americans come first.

Anyway, let me also add 2 more points on this issue.

1) This will also benefit China indirectly. Because before, China is experiencing a brain-drain with their top students coming to the US pursing engineering/science and then staying in a US company. With this regulation, those top talents, after receiving the best education, will be forced to go back to China and bring their knowledge to work for Chinese companies. Many of my friends who are graduating this year are alreadying planning this. Same with India.

2) One of the reason US technology/companies are so competitive and powerful is this relatively relaxed policy of hiring foreign skilled workers. Instead of choosing only from the Best of the US, US companies get to choose from the Best of US, Best of CHina, Best of India, Best of Russia, etc (Most students who get to study in the US in the first place are the best of the best in their home country). So US companies simply has a much higher quality of pool of talents to select from, it's truly a "force multiplier". They are able to assemble the most formible concentration of professionals. But now you are letting this advantage slip away, and removing the Best of China, Best of India, Best of Russia, etc from the selection pool, and choosing only the Best of US. While letting the other talents go away and work for other countries.
1) The Western education of non-Westerners by Westerners (white man's burden) almost always involves the education being used seditiously against the West. History has proven this many times over. Only liberalism has allowed the Western mindset to embrace educating our competitor and enemies with our great knowledge.

2) Almost without exception, all high tech and computer related inventions, advancements, and new technologies were created by Western men. It is ludicrous to suggest that the industry relies upon or needs Chinese and Indians. They are only needed for "cheap labor" rates by traitorous white male "globalists".

If you didn't do anything to irk them then yes those two where real ass holes. This country should always take care of it's own first. I bet there are some Americans who wish they could live on Lake Geneva and sing the "Sound of Music" all day long prancing through the Swiss hillside. That doesn't give us the right to force ourselves into their country because we would like to. Get your education, then go home........

I was talking about illegal immigrants, you are simply talking about people of Mexican heritage... once again proving my point that many of you cannot differentiate between the two. So I can't really respond to the rest of your post, since it had nothing to do with what I said!

But........ weren't most of "our own" immigrants at one time? Who here is actually of Native American descent? Anyone who didn't just raise their hand should go back where they came from!

For the record, I think the Swiss would welcome us to prance around their hills - LOL. I actually had a friend who attended college in Switzerland, and said they were very welcoming and kind to her. She did come back to the US after her education, but briefly considering emigrating to Europe (and would have, if not for her now-husband being from Texas).

Not to pick on you, Arizona, but this sentiment is (IMO) a major problem with our society today... we NEED to care about the rest of the world, since we are sharing it with them. Borders are really quite arbitrary when you think about it, and we have to share our resources with the WHOLE world - if we lose sight of that and become a selfish country, that will only cause us to suffer in the end. Who will we turn to when WE are in need? If the tables were turned tomorrow, would the Mexicans welcome us with open arms after how we've treated them? Think about that for a moment...

Mexicans would not welcome us in any case. And how bad have they been treated? They get jobs, health care, housing, and other benefits. I sure would not mind that type of "bad treatment"!lol

I agree. America has to get out of the "saving the world" business.

Helping out another country is one thing: note that said generic society also needs to take personal responsibility as well.

Israel vs. the Gaza Strip is a prime example. The former nation is a solid First world society in most regards whereas the Gaza Arabs need to really use birth control for starters.

Back to the USA: we are sinking into a (probable depression) and we need to take care of our own------------first.

That is the bottom line.
