UAREZ, Mexico — When he crossed illegally into the U.S. in 2002, Cesar Sanchez didn't plan on stabbing a girlfriend's estranged husband eight times.

Yet there he was, a convicted murderer dropped at the Texas border last month—one less worry for U.S. officials but a source of concern for the cities in Central America receiving thousands of freed convicts.

"I crossed like so many others; for a dream," said Sanchez, 25, wondering how he'd make it back to his family in Veracruz. "And, then ..."

U.S. Immigration officials are escalating efforts to put some 450,000 illegal immigrants serving prison time in the U.S. on planes back home. In 2008, about 113,000 such convicts were deported.

But in the areas on the receiving end, some wonder whether the influx could in turn chase frustrated residents over the border.

Gee, mexico actually expects us to welcome their criminals with open arms, yet they don't want them either. Nothing like giving them a dose of their own medicine . . . .

Incredible! We're mean-spirited racists for not wanting these reprobates, but they’re simply "frustrated" residents. Hmmm……….

Now that our economy is tanking how about economizing by putting at least the Mexican criminal aliens on leaky cattle boats and shipping them down to the southernmost tip of Mexico instead of wasting money flying them back.

and thats why those violent criminals sent back should be chipped so that the US and their home country can keep tabs on them.

there needs to be some dialogue between the countires.

its like the police letting a sex offender loose in your community without telling you.

dont make too much sense do it?

It would NEVER fly. La Raza, Maldef, CASA, et al. would jump on this faster than a fly on ………. It would be considered inhumane, a violation of their civil rights, and of course, racist.

Well, we should use our best technology that works to identify these Mexican criminal illegals so we can easily identify them when they are apprehended breaking back in, and they will try to break back in. Unfortunately most of these Mexican criminal illegals will be successful in breaking back in across our porous border.
