Billions of dollars are still being sent out of the country, much of it untaxed income even as the government plans to sink us two trillion further in the hole.

The manipulation and abuse of the 14th Amendment is a monumental travesty. It was enacted to ensure the "rightful" citizenship for the children of freed slaves. It has subsequently been obscenely exploited by illegal aliens to gain benefits and services reserved for legal residents of this country.

Without birthright citizenship, most illegal aliens would NEVER give birth in this country. If they had to support them, and could not rely on government assistance, they would work here, and return to their countries of origin. Many come here specifically to give birth. Any decent person would be appalled.

The 14th Amendment was intended to ensure that American citizenship be granted to the descendants of American slaves. The fact that it has been deliberately misconstrued doesn't change the reality that illegal aliens ARE NOT under the jurisdiction of the US and thus, it is impossible for them to procreate an American citizen.

The 14th Amendment

This website serves to explain the original intent of the Fourteenth (14th) Amendment to the US Constitution, and how it is currently misinterpreted to give citizenship to children born in the United States of illegal alien parents. These children, via their birthright citizenship, act as anchor babies and can, upon reaching the age of majority, facilitate bringing their extended family into the US in order to obtain citizenship. Although some experts believe that a Constitutional amendment would be necessary to remedy the misinterpretation, many believe that Congressional action would be sufficient and is urgently warranted.

No, we are NOT all immigrants. I was born in this country, and conceived by two people who were also born in this country. Immigrants were not born here. We owe illegal aliens nothing, and they need to return to their countries of origin for an education. Furthermore, the majority of illegal alien children do not complete high school. Therefore, our tax dollars have been both stolen and squandered.

Our laws will “honor” illegal aliens, when they decide to “honor” our laws.
Rep point for excellent post! I just don't get it why so many people do not understand the word and the meaning of ILLEGAL.

The system is getting worked so bad. 2 Illegals have a child here and it qualifies them for welfare, food stamps and wic. Just when those freebies stop the kid enters school and it takes over from there with 2 free meals per day plus a snack. Most after school programs are also free to anyone who can prove how little they make thus qualifying the family for free daycare after school plus another meal. That's 3 squares all free! Well, not free for you and I but it is for the 12 million or so Illegal Aliens that have children.

It's comforting knowing that they have their needs met all but 2 days of the week at the tax payers expense.

Now if they time the birth rates just right we are on the hook for raising these people all the way up to when they graduate HS, if they do graduate.

And it is past time to close/lock that 'birthright' citizenship loophole with the proviso of grandfathering in those Anchor Babies already born prior to an arbitrary cutoff date (but the illegal alien parents would still face immediate deportation).

Needless to say: most minor age Anchors would leave with their parents to the latter's countries of origin.
