What effect does illegal immigration have on unemployment and what financial burdens does it cause?
Illegal immigration causes an immense financial burden to taxpayers, particularly on the local level.
Taxpayers in Massachusetts alone are expected to pay nearly $1 billion for the education of illegal immigrants and children in 2010. This estimate is expected to grow dramatically in the next 10 years.
A major impact on the debt incurred by illegal immigrants is their education level. Their typically low pay-scale means that they pay fewer taxes in the long term. The children of illegal immigrants born on U.S. soil significantly impact the deficit as they are eligible for federal social programs.
Children of immigrants carry their parent's dreams with them every time they go to school. We are
all immigrants, arriving from an unknown past and moving into an unknown future. Money comes and
goes but the hope for a better future for one's children never dies. I live, work, and meet many
different people from all over the world and the one thing that ties us all together is the concern for the
welfare of our children. To take that away from anyone is wrong beyond the laws of any government.
Our laws should honor this reality.

When in Rome; do as the Romans do.

They are not children of “immigrants,” they are children of illegal aliens. Big difference.
No, we are NOT all immigrants. I was born in this country, and conceived by two people who were also born in this country. Immigrants were not born here. We owe illegal aliens nothing, and they need to return to their countries of origin for an education. Furthermore, the majority of illegal alien children do not complete high school. Therefore, our tax dollars have been both stolen and squandered.
Our laws will “honor” illegal aliens, when they decide to “honor” our laws.

There is nothing that says you cannot adopt children from Mexico.......nothing. Please feel free to do so.
I'm sick of being forced to do it. I have my own family to feed.
And our laws stipulate that children born on U.S. soil are U.S. citizens.
Being one of the last Nations living by this archaic arrangement, yes. Look how it is being exploited. I'm going to guess you work for donations or don't make enough to pay taxes?

Where do you see the words U.S. citizen in the following quote?
