After the interview and as part of the background investigation process, agents learned that the applicant was not a United States citizen – which is a requirement for the job. Agents also learned that when he submitted his application, he affirmed that he was a United States citizen. Making a false claim to United States citizenship is a felony and punishable by imprisonment and a fine.

On Tuesday, Jugert Haxhiu, 27, was removed from the United States by an Immigration Judge for falsely and willfully claiming United States Citizenship.

I suspect he wanted to be a border agent for not-so-great reasons... like drug smuggling, sneaking illegals through, or even human trafficking for prostitution and stuff... good thing they caught him...

The pay is not that great and doesn't exactly attract the cream of the crop. Just look at the airport security staff. Things still get by screenings and they aren't even getting paid off. Doesn't make me feel so secure. This false facade of airport security is a joke and this a long with the border patrol beef-up is nothing but a way to appease constituents.
