Good Lord. And no one is reporting on this in the national media. Maybe Lou Dobbs will cover it -- he's certainly not afraid to take on the immigration/border problems! I am SO glad I moved away from the Border!

As the comments indicated, Obama doesn't care. Texas is king of the Red States and Obama and the Dems WON'T care about what goes on here unless it somehow threatens Texas' ability to provide refined oil products to the rest of the country. The victims of Hurricane Ike in Galveston are still trying to recover and the media/country doesn't care about that, either.

DC is useless as always. We are fortunate to have Texas, who are one of the few remaining states whose people still have a stubborn independent streak to them, defending our borders.

As protests and gunfire erupted last week across Reynosa, Hidalgo County authorities stood prepared at the international bridges, ready for any possibility.

With mobile command units connected to statewide intelligence centers and dozens of officers armed to confront potential threats, law enforcement officials responded to Tuesday's violence like they never have before.

The incident prompted state officials to enact for the first time a border-wide emergency plan developed to address threats from Mexico's ongoing war against its entrenched drug cartels.

The MSM will no doubt do their best to pretend none of this is happening, but they may find it difficult to keep this particular story stuffed in a pillowcase.

"This will spill over into the States! Mr. Patrick, and the other State officials,. are convinced that road-side bombs and car bombs will make it across the border and WILL NOT allow that to happen!!
4) Mexico is breaking out in Civil War in the western part of the border and they expect it to spread the entire border with no end in sight."

----

Hezbollah is now believed to be training Mexican drug cartel enforcers the art of bomb making. The training is designed to combat the Mexican Army and police, and the American Special Forces and DEA agents now operating in Mexico.

Remember the Chipas war in the 90's? That was civil war too, and it never spilled over to the USA. Stop such garbage.

Get with it and stop pandering to illegal aliens and the drug cartels!

----

To protect and expand their criminal operations, Mexican drug cartels maintain highly developed intelligence networks on both sides of the border and have hired private armies to carry out enforcement measures. For example, the Gulf Cartel leader Cardenas employs a group of former elite military soldiers known as “Los Zetas.”

CLT Chiapas is not on our border. It's on Mexico's southern border with Guatemala. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiapas
