Looks like we're going to have plenty of military manpower coming back from Iraq now, so it shouldn't be a problem putting some military manpower along the border. With the drug cartel violence crossing over into the US and the BP outgunned by the drug cartels, it would be very prudent to station some US troops along the border. Military patrols from the military bases will be a real deterrent against illegal alien scabs. All the military patrols will have to do is to round up and herd the hordes of illegal aliens scabs into tent cities all along the border, waiting for the BP to deport them.

What route do you take? San Antonio is only 155 miles from the border at Del Rio, 158 miles from the border at Laredo. Close enough for immigration control. Get a clue!

And with the way things are deteriorating in Mexico proper: would not surprise at all for Nuevo Leon, Sonora, etc. to request Gringo help in quelling the Zetas, etc.

Precedent has already been set by the policia in the Nogales, Sonora area requesting additional ammunition from US LE agencies from the Nogales, Arizona area.

Judging by the probable DREAMIes and their allies on this Forum: the screaming has already started.

Where do you GET this stuff ?. My chart CLEARLY shows that San Antonio is 1450 miles from the border at Detroit, Michigan....and even FARTHER from the border at Niagara Falls, New York...1630 miles. Maybe YOU should get a clue....

Like people here are really concerned about illegal immigration from Canada . . . I believe the original poster mentioned something about '"from Texas to California." Clueless?

Perhaps the concern would be with our Northern border if that were the source of the problem. Sort oflike worrying about the crack in the rear window when your windshield is blown out. Yes the crack is an issue but the crisis is the blown windshield.

We have military bases very close to the border already. Fort Huachuca in AZ and Sam Houston in San Antone, Hmmm Camp Pendleton close to San Diego. And I'm sure there's a couple I'm missing. These guys could use some live fire training I'm sure. What better training than taking out cartel "soldiers". They have air and artillery support at their disposal as well so EVERBODY gets to play. The cartels would not be happy to face such firepower. They have lots of guns but so do our soldiers, Marines and Pilots and theirs are bigger. There's not to many human problems that can't be solved with a Ma Duece, or two or three or twenty. Lol so the cartels have AK's we have 122 MM smoothbores and doesn't the Warthog have a lovely "little" 30mm rotary cannon on it? I think we could keep the cartels in line well enough.
