They won't serve ANY time if they're deported. Countries don't lock people up for violating other countries' laws.

The reason they make up such a high percentage of federal inmates is because most of them are serving time for immigration-related offenses, such as illegal reentry and transporting aliens. That and drug-smuggling. If we're going to make those activities violations of federal law, we have to pay for the enforcement of the laws.

All the more reason not to touch CIR/amnesty. Enforce our current immigration laws and let's roll up the red carpet and put it away. We're flat broke as a nation and can't afford to provide the milk & honey anymore.
